STRESS SERIES | The Importance of Self Care
While you are on your healing journey, I want you to really dig in to self care. This is crucial. I'm not talking about dry brushing here and there. I'm talking about a committed relationship. I'm working on a "Resources" page that will connect you to all of my favorite self care tools, as well as some of my favorite healers. Because your healing journey is about more than nutrition and spot treatments. It's about restoring your relationship with yourself. If you want to silence that inner critic once and for all, you really have to make a concerted effort to spend more time with yourself. Enjoying your company. Like I said, use this time to DIG IN.
I'll start off simple by asking you to get your hands on some epsom salts and take a bath tonight. And then every night for the rest of the week. See how that feels. See what feelings bubble up for you. It's okay if you feel slightly uncomfortable. It's probably been a long time since you and your body have spent this much uninterrupted alone time together. If this nightly ritual feels good to you, continue with it and add more self care from there (perhaps this daily meditation). Start slow and let things build naturally. Don't force it. Except this week of nightly baths. You may have to force that initially. But trust me, it will be worth it.
